Super healthy, easy to pack, easy to make.

An alternative to salad on the trail, this Nasturtium Ravioli is super healthy, easy-to-make, and down right delicious (you have to like cheese). Only three ingredients, but very high in nutrients. Fits right in to a raw diet.

Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • Small round of your favorite Brie, or soft cheese
  • Nasturtium leaves (3″ rounds)
  • Hemp Hearts (small package)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

This easy trail recipe combines two highly nutritious foods: Nasturtium leaves and Hemp Hearts. Nasturtium leaves pack a nutritional punch. They are excellent sources of vitamins  A, C, D, beta-carotene, iron, manganese, and flavonoids. They taste great, as well.

Hemp seeds are a good source of high-quality protein, and are high in two essential fatty acids, omega 6 and omega 3. They also are a good source of vitamin E, as well as a number of minerals including potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron, and zinc.

Super easy to make, this recipe is as simple as cutting the cheese into small (1/2 to 1″) squares, placing the nasturtium leave face down, adding the cheese, adding salt and pepper and Hemp Hearts to taste, adding another nasturtium leave (face up) and smooshing together.

Then enjoy. Two to three will take the place of a small salad.
